  • Rachel Gardiner

My name is Rachel Gardiner and I am the Children’s Centre Manager. I am married with two sons and we live locally. We moved into this area several years ago from London. I have worked in the National Health Service for many years, both in London and Surrey. When I lived and worked in London, I was responsible for providing health services into a large Sure Start Centre in South West London. I am responsible for planning all of our support groups and sessions and am available to advise families on all sorts of aspects of family life. I communicate with other professionals within our area to ensure that the services we provide will meet the needs of the families, and that together, we can support those families that might need some extra help. I am very fortunate to have a fantastic team working for me and together we bring a range of different skills and expertise. We are all passionate about supporting families to be the best they can be. We really look forward to seeing you at one of our groups, or we can arrange to see parents individually if you wish to discuss something in confidence. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us if there is something you feel we could support you with.

  • Claire Matthes
I have two teenaged children  so can relate to all the pressures and pleasures of being a parent! Previous to this role I have worked in numerous childcare settings including nurseries, creches and playschemes, as well as being a Childminder for 2 years.  In recent years I have been involved with local families through various community support groups before taking up my current role. I am Froebel-trained and achieved Early Years Teacher Status in 2014.  My main interests are working with and supporting young people, parents and children and I really enjoy meeting families and watching as a child (and family!) develops. I look forward to welcoming Mums, Dads, Carers and Children to our lovely centre!
