The Sure Start Children’s Centre is here for children from birth to five years
and for their families and carers too. The aim of all Children’s Centres is to
ensure that all children have the best possible start in life, and to support
their carers in achieving this.

We provide a range of services to support the community, all of which you
can find out about on this website. Here at Tennyson’s, we will signpost to
other services, making the best possible use of all things available to children
and their families within our area. Some of our services are held at the
children’s centre whilst others are held in various venues within our area.

As well as running regular activities, we can also assist with supporting parents to return to work, support families in
accessing other voluntary or statutory services, assisting parents in choosing child care or nursery places.
All of our events are free or heavily subsidised (although we do ask for a voluntary contribution towards some activities).
